I recently noticed something that doesn’t seem right and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

I have a recurring BTC buy set up on OKX. My latest purchase converted 20 USDC into 0.00030894889 BTC, which works out to an execution price of 64,735.63
At 16:54 CST for BTC USDC convert

At the time my order executed the OKX BTC USDC spot price was around 64100 but I got filled at 64735 almost 1% higher. I know Convert has a spread but 1% for a $20 BTC buy seems crazy. A normal spot market order shouldnt have anywhere near that much slippage.

I currently have some BTC and stablecoins sitting on Binance.US while I wait for opportunities to deploy them back into the market. Rather than letting everything sit completely idle, I’ve been putting eligible assets into Boost to earn additional crypto rewards.

The rates change depending on the event and how many people participate, but there are no user fees, rewards are distributed weekly, and you can remove your assets when you need them. Binance.US also says the assets placed into Boost aren’t lent out or used for trading.

The only real inconvenience is that you can’t trade or stake those assets while they’re enrolled. You have to remove them from Boost first, which is worth keeping in mind if you’re waiting to make a quick market move. But there is no cool down period to remove them.

It’s not life-changing money, and there’s obviously still the normal risk of holding assets on a centralized exchange, but it’s a solid way to earn something while waiting to deploy them.

The yield has honestly been better than almost any other passive opportunity I’ve seen recently. With the current SEI Boost event, I’ve earned around $200 from roughly $5,000 split between BTC, USDT, and USDC.

Instead of highly liquid orderbooks, we need seperate orderbooks with barely any liquidity.

How does it protect users when one market maker controls the entire orderbook and can wick you out by simply pulling orders?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a way to play poker in crypto (without KYC), I would like to play real tables and being able to deposit and withdraw without issue or headache.

maybe AI engineers just think crypto is totally useless. I know there was a brief period when AI related coins went up but thats when everything else was up too. there hasn't been a uniquely AI coin mooning season yet. I know the AI crypto decentralization tech hasn't been perfected yet but I'd figure there is more hype for building it at this point.

Obviously AI is changing everything in the software space. I am a geologist, can't code but thanks to claude I replaced 3 SAAS products I have used and paid for, for 15 years (although I'm pretty sure 15 years ago there was not bullshit subscriptions). Anyway my question is where does this leave lots of alts. Isn't this going to mean that any tech around interoperability, infrastructure and utility is going to be next to worthless if it doesn't already have market penetration? I'm pretty worried that any tech or concept advantage any chain has is close to worthless if they don't already have some kind of foothold.

Had a proper read of the proposed CGT changes from the Budget and figured we'd break it down as it can be quite confusing.

First, the calming bit: none of it is law yet, and nothing changes for your FY25-26 return. The current 50% discount still applies in full this year. No need to do anything drastic. This year goes ahead as normal.

What's actually proposed, from 1 July 2027:

- The 50% discount goes. Instead your cost base gets indexed for inflation, so you'd only be taxed on the real gain, not the part that's just inflation.

- A 30% minimum rate on net real gains accruing after that date.

- It covers most CGT assets: shares, trust units, investment property, and crypto.

The bit some folks are glossing over is the grandfathering. Gains that accrued before 1 July 2027 keep the current discount treatment, and only growth after that date falls under the new rules. So the value of what you hold around the changeover becomes a genuinely important number.

And the practical kicker is that indexation is worked out parcel by parcel, from each parcel's acquisition date and cost base. If your buy history is scattered across brokers, DRP statements and old exchange CSVs, this gets expensive fast, because you can't index a cost base you can't prove. Same for crypto, every parcel indexes from its own date.

So until these changes are implemented, get your cost base records complete for everything you hold while the history's still retrievable, lodge this year normally, and see what the legislation actually looks like when it firms up (plenty can change on the way through).

Hello, I wanted to reach out because I need some guidance here, I need to leave kucoin as It doesn't fill my expectations at all.

I would need a service that offers the following, and it's for Europe so I think there's that Mica stuff which I'm not sure about but I think it's due to it Binance got outed.

Anyhow, I'd need:

1) A crypto card with cashback

2) A second account "business/corporate", as I intend to operate a website where crypto will be accepted.

3) I need 2 trading features which I use in kucoin. The first one is OCO which allows me grabs a few tokens during their sometimes very short rise, while protected for the drop. The other trading feature I need is trailing stop or trailing delta. Allows me to be protected during trades while not having to watch at the evolution of the market every 30 sec. I think those 2 are called advance spot trading.

4) I need some interesting staking features. With decent yield

5) I do need a good % on fixed term earn products (7 days, 14 days, one month, one year... see?)

6) A few new token and rarities is a plus so I can place an OCO on it.

I'm currently hesitating between Nexo, which was my first choice, then bybit. Recently, I discovered OKX.

According to a Thursday X post, Coinbase Business users will be able to accept USDC (USDC) payments from AI agents through the x402 payment standard, which Coinbase first introduced in May 2025 to enable stablecoin payments over HTTP for AI agents, applications and APIs.

Starting now, the people in charge of crypto have made a new system. It has nineteen price rules, three special support levels, and one resistance level that disappears if you look at it too hard.

Here is how it works:

Bitcoin prices will now be measured in Saylor Units. One Saylor Unit equals one MicroStrategy bond sale announced at 3 in the morning. If you buy when prices are low, you use 0.7 units. If you sell when prices are high, you use all your units and get sent to the meme coin group.

Trump coins will go up or down based on his posts on Truth Social from the last five minutes. If he says "crypto", the coin doubles. But on Tuesdays, if he says "tariff", the coin drops by half. On those days, you get free coins if you can count the vowels in his post.

We are are mod of r/CryptoTax and as a firm that primarily performs crypto reconciliation read Notice 2026-20 properly this week and there are two things in it that I have not seen discussed, both with a deadline attached.

JustinCPA wrote the best explanation of why your books and the exchange diverge, and why that divergence is permanent. Read that first, it is the better piece on the mechanism. This post is about the timing, which is where I think people are going to get caught.

1. The relief never let you choose your method at filing time

This is the one that surprised me. Section 4.02 says an adequate identification is made by:

Identifying, no later than the date and time of the sale, disposition, or transfer, on the taxpayer's books and records, the particular units to be sold

or by a standing order:

entered into the taxpayer's books and records before the units covered by the order are sold, disposed of, or transferred

So the relief removed the requirement to tell your broker. It did not remove the requirement to have identified the lots at or before the disposal. You cannot decide in April 2027 that your 2026 sales were LIFO.

Practically, if your tax software has had a cost basis method set the whole time, that likely functions as your standing order. What matters is that it was set before the trades and that you can show when.

If you have been trading through 2026 with no method configured and nothing recorded, the default in 1.1012-1(j)(3)(i) is FIFO, and that is already your position for those disposals.

2. What actually changes on January 1, 2027

Section 5 is explicit that you cannot rely on the books and records method for disposals made after the relief period ends.

So from January 1 you are back to the regulation: specify the units to your broker at or before the sale, or have a standing order with the broker. Do neither and FIFO applies.

Here is the part worth sitting with. The reason this relief exists at all is that brokers could not accept specific identifications. The notice says many custodial brokers:

are not currently ready to accept specific identifications (other than standing orders) from customers

and are only expected to finish building those systems during 2026.

Which means the question to answer before year end is not really about your records. It is: can each exchange you actually use accept a specific identification or a standing order yet? If it cannot, and the relief has expired, you are on FIFO there whether that suits you or not.

3. It does not cover self custody

Worth stating plainly, because a lot of people here are mostly on chain.

The relief applies only to units held in the custody of a broker. The notice says so directly. Units not in a broker's custody are governed by 1.1012-1(j)(1) and (2) instead, and nothing here changes that.

What I would do before December 31

1. Check what cost basis method your software has been using for 2026, and when it was set. Screenshot it. That is your evidence of a standing order.

2. Ask each exchange you use whether it can accept a specific identification or standing order for 2027, and set it if it can.

3. Import every wallet and exchange, including dead ones. A transfer that never got linked leaves a lot with zero basis, and that error propagates into every disposal after it.

4. Reconcile balances per account, not just transactions. If your software balance does not match the actual balance, you have missing data, and the transaction list will not tell you that.

5. Save a lot level snapshot as at December 31. That is the opening position you carry into 2027.

One correction while I am here: the "your books control" language is in Section 4.05 of the notice, not 3.05. Section 3 is just definitions. I have seen 3.05 quoted a few times and it is worth citing correctly if you are relying on it.

I may have misread something, and the guidance could move again. If you think I have it wrong, say so and I will correct it.

Since 2019, the app contained a critical bug in its signature process. Instead of generating a fresh random nonce for every signature (as required for security), it copied the wrong bytes — leaving part of the nonce fixed at zero.

That small, predictable flaw was enough. Every transaction you signed leaked a little more information about your private key. After roughly five signatures, an attacker could recover the full key in seconds on a regular laptop.

The bug existed in every version of the app and went completely unnoticed until last week, when wallets started getting drained.

The damage is permanent. Those flawed signatures are immutably recorded on the blockchain. Affected users can’t safely move their funds — the attacker already has the key and will almost certainly win any race.

I've been in crypto since 2018 and never thought I'd fall for something like this.

I was contacted for what appeared to be a legitimate remote job. The scammers created an entire hiring process with multiple emails, a professional-looking website, and an interview platform. The "company" is called The Trading Field on linkedin and the job position "Crypto Ecosystem Specialist".

The interview was scheduled on a strange platform called prysmo.app, which got me suspicious but looked clean enough for me to go through with it. When the interview started, I got an error saying that my microphone couldn't be found and to download their Desktop app. There was a prerecorded woman on video saying she couldn't hear me and instructing me to install their interview application. Under the pressure of trying to fix the interview, I downloaded and ran the installer, only after running the installer and seeing a CLI for 2 seconds, I realised what I've done. I've immediatelly done a complete reinstall of Windows from a clean bootable USB drive.

However, a few hours later, my MetaMask wallet was completely drained.

Looking back, I believe my biggest mistake was keeping my MetaMask Secret Recovery Phrase in a plain .txt file on my PC (idiot move I know, but I was able to ward off the malwares for the past 8 years and didnt see chances of anyone infecting my PC. My PC was actually turned off when the funds were stolen, which makes sense if they had already obtained the recovery phrase.

Thankfully, my main holdings are on a different hardware wallet so those were not affected. The loss was my hot wallet, around $1,600, but that's still a significant amount for me and my family.

Please learn from my mistakes and keep your crypto in cold storage. I also never thought it would happen to me, and after 8 years, all it took was a second of not thinking straight. These scams are becoming more elaborate by the day and they socially engineer you as much as possible, slowly taking their time with HR processes and not rushing so you think they're for real.

I think them saying that the company is founded in 2018 but me not being able to find a single entry about them online should've been obvious in hindsight. Their website is thetradingfield.com in case anyone cares. I will be reporting them on linkedin so it doesn't happen to more people.

I've been researching different Layer 1s lately, and I'm genuinely curious.

Does anyone know another blockchain that combines things like:

• Native mutable Layer 1 NFTs
• Native permissions and access control
• Asset-oriented programming instead of token standards
• Atomic composability
• A real hyperscaling architecture instead of relying on L2s or fragmented liquidity

The closest I've found is Radix, especially with everything happening around Hyperscale.

I'm not asking which chain has the biggest ecosystem today. I'm asking which one has the best technology while still being early enough that a x10 or even x100 isn't completely unrealistic.

Is there another project that belongs in the same conversation, or is Radix still the strongest candidate?

Most people have probably never heard of Radix DLT.

It's a Layer 1 blockchain that has spent years building a different architecture for digital assets. Instead of focusing only on speed or transaction fees, its goal has been to make asset management safer, easier to develop, and more scalable—especially for complex financial applications.

When most people hear the term NFT, they think about digital art, collectibles, or profile pictures.

But I think the most important use case for NFTs in the future may have nothing to do with art.

They could become the way we control what AI agents are allowed to do.

Imagine a future where millions of AI agents manage assets, purchase services, execute DeFi strategies, or pay for APIs autonomously.

The question is no longer:

Instead, it becomes:

This is where Radix DLT becomes really interesting.

On Radix DLT, NFTs can be used as Permission Badges, granting very specific capabilities.

For example, an AI agent could hold different NFTs allowing it to:

• read balances;
• execute an arbitrage strategy;
• withdraw funds up to a daily limit;
• access only specific smart contract components;
• administer a particular application.

The interesting part is that each permission is completely independent.

You don't need to hand over an entire wallet.

If you want to revoke one capability, you simply revoke that specific badge without affecting everything else.

Those NFTs can even be mutable, allowing permissions, limits, or reputation to evolve over time without issuing a brand-new NFT.

How do most blockchains handle this today?

On many blockchains, the common approach is to share a private key or grant broad permissions through mechanisms such as approve().

That works.

But when you start imagining millions of autonomous AI agents making financial decisions, it may not be the safest long-term model.

Giving an AI unrestricted wallet access is a bit like hiring an employee and handing them the keys to your entire company.

Most of the time, what we actually want is something much more granular.

Open certain doors—but not others.

Spend only within predefined limits.

Execute only approved strategies.

Why I think this matters

This isn't really about NFTs.

It's about authorization.

As AI agents become more autonomous, permission management may become just as important as consensus, scalability, or transaction throughput.

The blockchains that succeed may not simply be the fastest.

They may be the ones that provide the safest and most flexible permission model for autonomous software.

That's why I think Radix DLT is worth paying attention to.

Not because it's the biggest ecosystem today.

But because it's asking a question that very few blockchains seem to be asking:

How should a blockchain work when its primary users are no longer humans, but autonomous AI agents?

When selling crypto on a p2p platform, what’s to stop me from receiving their payment and then not releasing the crypto ?

I’d never do this of course, just really curious, but I recently got into crypto trading and I noticed what seems like a glaring issue. When I sell crypto, I receive the persons payment before I’ve released the crypto. Whats to stop me from taking the payment and just never releasing the crypto? I know escrow is involved where the crypto is kept or something but I’m not really sure how that works. What if I just tell the crypto platform I never received the payment and they release my crypto back to me?

Again, would never do this, just very curious.

I've been a crypto researcher for two years and one of the tokenization sectors thats caught me by surprise in the rate of growth is tokenized credit. We all know private credit is difficult to trade because it represents loans made by private funds directly to companies.

But tokenizing such debt instruments makes them easier to transfer, track and manage, which is why private credit has become one of the most active categories in tokenization, currently worth $7 billion, a 23% improvement since January.

I read that tokenization platform Tradable is planning to tokenize up to $1 billion in private credit assets on Stellar. Tradable would leverage Stellar’s blockchain to handle the full lifecycle of a private credit deal, including investor onboarding, compliance controls and ongoing operations.

Does anyone know of a good way to withdraw my money? I have USDT, but I have no idea how to cash it out. I live in Spain, and my funds are basically stuck because I don't really understand how any of this works.

I'm a freelancer, and one of my clients occasionally pays me in USDT, so I'm just looking for the easiest way to convert it into euros and withdraw it to my bank account.

Incident 1: I copied a Gemini BNB Smart Chain deposit address and withdrew BNB from Kraken. Gemini later confirmed that the destination was not associated with Gemini. This was done on a Firefox browser through Gemini and Kraken's website.

Incident 2: Six months later I copied a Kraken USDC/Arbitrum One deposit address and sent from MetaMask. It again went to the exact same unrelated address. This was done through an Opera browser via MetaMask extension.

Both were performed on the same Windows computer, using different browsers. The first incident did not involve MetaMask. I have successfully copied many other crypto addresses without this happening.

Has anyone encountered malware or a clipboard utility that selectively replaces only EVM addresses or triggers only inside crypto transaction forms? What diagnostic tools and persistence locations should I inspect?

BTC’s move looks more convincing than the usual headline-driven pump. Spot ETFs have seen strong inflows recently, long-term holders continue to accumulate, and larger wallets have reportedly been adding over the past couple of months.

That feels like a healthier mix of buyers than we’ve seen during some previous rallies. At the same time, I don’t think that automatically makes buying after a big move low risk. By the time most of the indicators look bullish, a lot of the easier entries are often already behind us.

Personally, if I decide to take a trade here, I’d probably keep the position smaller and have my invalidation planned before entering. The downside is that waiting for a cleaner setup could mean watching price keep running without me.

I've been in the cryptosphere since 2018 but I never put serious money or hold it properly for long term. All I did was occasionally trading meme coin with $100 or $200 but nothing above $400. With the rising usage of AI and my job being at risk (Software Engineer) I feel like now is the perfect time to buy and hodl for the future because the future doesn't look very good with AI around. Now that I have a proper job and proper saving, I have decided to buy a cold wallet and put some of my life saving into cryptocurrency and keep it in my safe and DCA from this time onward. - $1000 in Ethereum

not saying mica is pointless, but "licensed" not always mean "operationally secure"

I noticed this coin pop up on the market cap ranking about two weeks ago and was sitting at about the 21st spot out of nowhere. I was watching it for about a week and a half or so and this morning noticed that it behaved like it got rugged free falling from $49 to currently six dollars.

I’m wondering if anyone knows precisely what happened or if it was in fact rug pulled because during my looking into it, I noticed that the white paper and GitHub hasn’t been touched in many years, but was also net with resistance when I asked about the project originally.

Was anyone in the coin? Any idea what’s going on?

I’m kind of upset I didn’t short it and even at this point I’m questioning if it’s a bad idea to jump in now

Hello, I wanted to reach out because I need some guidance here, I need to leave kucoin as It doesn't fill my expectations at all.

I would need a service that offers the following, and it's for Europe so I think there's that Mica stuff which I'm not sure about but I think it's due to it Binance got outed.

Anyhow, I'd need:

1) A crypto card with cashback

2) A second account "business/corporate", as I intend to operate a website where crypto will be accepted.

3) I need 2 trading features which I use in kucoin. The first one is OCO which allows me grabs a few tokens during their sometimes very short rise, while protected for the drop. The other trading feature I need is trailing stop or trailing delta. Allows me to be protected during trades while not having to watch at the evolution of the market every 30 sec. I think those are called advance spot trading.

4) I need some interesting staking features. With decent yield

5) I do need a good % on fixed term earn products (7 days, 14 days, one month, one year... see?

6) A few new token and rarities is a plus so I can place an OCO on it.

I'm currently hesitating between Nexo, which was my first choice, then bybit. Recently, I discovered OKX.

What I know is that they all have a card, cashback and the possibility to have a business account.

Tokenised RWAs feel like one of the bigger crypto trends lately, but there are so many platforms now it’s hard to know what’s real. Has anyone tried metals.io or similar apps? What are your favorites so far and why?

Am new to this and my portfolio today went for the first time 20eu higher. I know this does not justify a decision to accumulate more of my coins, i also researched some micro positive news also but that doesn't justify it either.

I've researched a lot and learned a lot the last 2 weeks and i know what i experience now is a emotional fomo and thoughts of what if the next bull cycle is around the door and i miss out on the chance of buying more ?

But i also know that this bull cycle if it comes might not be like the past cycles because many things are different from the past that might affect positively or negatively the cycle and market in general.

It all seems such a long time ago. I see the cheapest are only (?!?!) £20K these days. I know a few years ago I was looking around a discount store and there was a box of Bored Ape keyrings. I got one for £3 as a souvenir. I can guarantee that nobody who shopped there knew what they were. Does Twitter still support them?

A widely used npm package got hijacked this month and shipped an infostealer to anyone who installed it. It swept browser sessions, password vaults, crypto wallets and seed phrases, and even config files for AI coding tools, all from the machine it ran on.
The uncomfortable part for anyone in crypto: a seed phrase or a software wallet sitting on a connected dev or daily-driver machine is inside reach of whatever else runs there. The thing that stays out of range is a key that was generated offline and only ever signs offline, because it is not on that machine to steal.
Not saying any one setup removes all risk. Just that separating where you sign from where you browse and build is one of the higher-leverage habits out there. Curious how people here keep those two environments apart.

every "AI agents will earn money" pitch i see assumes agents can sell services or do outreach, and in practice that barely works — no customers, no conversions, someone still has to say yes on the other end.

trading is the exception, and i think it's underrated as "the first real job" for an autonomous agent: it doesn't need a counterparty to agree, the agent acts, gets immediate feedback from the market, and adjusts. that's a full loop it can run on its own, on-chain, 24/7.

i'm not claiming a bot prints money — it's automation, not magic, and plenty blow up. but as the one thing an agent can do end-to-end without a human in the loop, trading seems like the natural starting point for whatever the "agent economy" turns into.

where's the hole? is there another on-chain job an agent can actually complete solo today (LP'ing? arbitrage? something i'm missing?), or is trading really it for now?

Hello people, This is my first attempt at making something related to blockchain please do comment or point out the flaws which i could work upon, feedbacks are really appreciated. This is basically a project for a Stellar protocol Build station. uhhhh yea thats it i hope i hear something back. Didnt know which sub to post on so i did it here

I used to be a P2P Professional Service provider in Poland. Registered VASP, absolutely tax compliant, 4+ years on Binance, 48,000+ completed trades, 98%+ constructive suggestions, monthly volume up to 7 figures in PLN. On April 13 Binance terminated my account. The one purpose given: "violation of Phrases of Use." No clause. No rationalization. Over the subsequent 32 days I requested greater than 15 totally different help brokers to only inform me which term I violated. Every single one refused.

My husband's private account obtained terminated as properly, and his a minimum of came with a purpose: Account Sharing.

So here's our "crime." We're married. His fingerprint is on my telephone and mine is on his. When his battery died he'd log in on my telephone, when mine died I used his. We know each other's passwords, our money is collectively, we don't cover something from one another except perhaps birthday presents. That's not fraud. That's a traditional marriage. Binance's danger system apparently can't tell the distinction between criminals sharing accounts and a wife and husband sharing a telephone.

And the way rigorously was my case reviewed? At 11:31 UTC an escalations agent wrote to me, word for phrase: "we apply a diligent and cautious strategy, completely analyzing every case." My account was terminated the same day at 13:58 UTC. Two and a half hours of "thorough examination" to erase a 4-year enterprise. No one asked me for a single doc. Similar day, one agent requested me if I needed to attraction while one other informed me no attraction channel exists. They couldn't even agree on that. Funny thing: as soon as earlier than, the same local workforce restricted my account "until 2030" by mistake, and Binance International overturned it within 24 hours. So I know exactly what their native staff's accuracy appears like.

What did they actually lose? Not just volume. In 4 years as a merchant I ended a whole lot of scam makes an attempt alone orders. Elderly individuals, individuals who clearly had a scammer on the telephone with them teaching them by way of the cost, I cancelled these orders and advised them what was occurring as an alternative of taking their cash. When somebody paid after an order was already cancelled, I sent the money again, each time, even when no one would have ever recognized. I used to be precisely the sort of service provider a P2P platform is meant to want. Terminated over a shared telephone, with no attraction.

Now the karma part. And this wasn't simply me. Whoever runs compliance for Binance Poland: I watched what your selections did to the PLN market. Before July 1 there were moments when solely 2 retailers have been online on the complete PLN P2P market. On Bybit and Bitget, over 100. That wasn't regulation doing that, MiCA hit every change the identical. That was you, clearing out your personal verified, licensed, tax-paying merchants one after the other till the order guide was a ghost city, while your rivals stored theirs. A compliance department exists to maintain the enterprise protected AND alive. You have been getting paid to make it higher, to not make it worse. You didn't shield the PLN market from danger. You protected it from present.

Ran the same BTC to XMR swap through a few different sites last week and the quotes landed within a few bucks of each other. The whole "best rate" thing felt pointless, so stopped looking at the headline number. The rate you see at quote time changes on a floating quote. Many instant swaps use floating rates where the final rate shifts during confirmation or a volatile block window. On a two minute swap that barely matters. On something bigger, or when the network is jammed, it moves enough to wipe out the tiny edge you thought you were getting. What separates them is what happens when a swap stalls or you send funds on the wrong network. When a swap fails, time to refund dominates the experience. Partner quality matters more than a tiny rate edge. That's the part rate comparisons skip. Used a few over time, but what I keep coming back to is consistency. Skipping account setup and having reliable processing time has ended up mattering more than squeezing out a slightly better quote. When moving something time sensitive, having a platform that just works through the confirmation window is the deciding factor.

The only thing I can find is that their sentencing date was June, 8th. Does anyone know if they were ever sentenced? If they have not, does anyone know why?

My current favourite is Kraken because of its similarity to Binance. I used Binance a lot in the past because of very low fees for trading, but they failed to secure the MiCA regulation authorization in my country.

Coinbase has higher fees, but sometimes I use Coinbase as a second option just to move crypto around.

I've tried Bybit, but there is too much KYC; it's like they wanna know what's inside your asshole. Also, the fees are high.

Been chewing on the BTC setup this weekend and it’s a mixed one. On paper it looks rough. Death cross confirmed, still ~12% under the 200-day, and the Coinbase premium’s been negative 60 days straight, a record.
Counterweight is Armstrong calling $60K the floor, MACD ticking up, and a ~7% bounce off the June low. So not a clean short either.
What kills it for me is volume. The bounce is running on maybe half the average, so there’s no conviction behind it. And Warsh’s Fed isn’t cutting anytime soon with a live FOMC end of month. Hard to get excited about risk into that.
So I’m holding for now. Is anyone buying?

I have built several strategies - and one thing that never fails to be the centerpiece; the regime watcher.

You can have the best strategy in the world. But if it activates at the wrong times it turns into the worst.

I have found that sometimes the most basic regime catches the edge, for other strategies you need a complex regime gate.

Currently I have a momentum trading algorithm and the best result was; most complex. I have set up a HMM model to define when it is actually risk on. On the flip side to catch a short trade I found simple MA regimes had the highest hit rate. Make them MECE and it’s a great combo.

Besides these two you also have universe regimes, HMM models, volatility, the fantastic fear/greed, sentiments.

Im new to all this crypto wallet thing. The closest I got was trading on robinhood and making a coinbase account. What wallet would be a good option for easy transfers and user friendly?

You know how a bunch of people went to a Bored Ape dance party with a bunch of UV lights, but it turns out the UV lights were industrial equipment that radiated UV light at a much higher level than what was safe because the organisers didn't give a fuck, so a bunch of people went temporarily blind and got burns all over their body?

I wonder how they're doing. I am completely new to the world of earning money online. I don't have any experience yet, but I am very optimistic and willing to learn.

Recently Bitfinex exchange has made all trading fees equal to zero and majority of withdrawal fees are zero too including USDt. This is quite big exchange and I am using it since 2018 without any problems, but their new business model is puzzling me. How they are going to make any profits?

AI tells me that they may make profit on a bigger spread, but this would be an arbitrage opportunity and anyone could make profit by undercutting them. So I am really puzzled.

• Original exploit (May 7, 2026): TrustedVolumes (an independent DeFi liquidity provider and RFQ market maker used by 1inch Fusion) lost approximately $5.87M–$6.7M in a single transaction. The stolen assets were ~1,291 WETH, 206k USDT, ~17 WBTC, and ~1.27M USDC. The attacker (same operator behind the March 2025 1inch Fusion V1 exploit) used a vulnerability in TrustedVolumes’ custom RFQ swap proxy.
• Recent development (July 17, 2026): One of the exploiter’s wallets sent 1,122.12 ETH (≈ $2.068 million at the time) back to a TrustedVolumes-controlled address.

I need some cash for recent family expenses and an upcoming move, and I'd rather not put everything on a credit card. The timing just feels awful because I wasn't planning to sell anything right now.

Most of my BTC and ETH are part of my long-term holdings, and I try not to touch them unless it's for a major expense. The last time I sold any was to help pay for a car.

I also have a much smaller perpetual futures position that I opened a few weeks ago, but it hasn't reached the profit level I was hoping for. Now I'm stuck deciding whether to close that position or sell a small portion of my long-term holdings instead.

Just saw that BAT pushed below all time low. I haven't given BAT much attention the last years, cause i deactivated displaying ads, but brave remains my browser of choice since 2019.

In the beginning i used to collect BAT, but at some point they changed the integrated wallet or something and i couldn't access my collected BAT any longer and lost motivation, so i deactivated ads.

Otherwise, i always thought, that the concept of BAT was reasonable and i was shocked to see BAT at such low prices.

A lot of the largest crypto losses did not involve a cracked wallet or a stolen seed. They involved someone being convinced to act, often by a person posing as support, security, or a helpful stranger. In one of the biggest cases on record, the attacker posed as wallet support and talked the victim into handing over their wallet backup. Hundreds of millions gone, zero code broken.
A few habits that hold for any wallet:
- Real support will not ask you to move funds, confirm a transaction, or share a recovery phrase to fix a problem.
- Slow down when a message creates urgency. That pressure is the attack.
- Verify through the official app yourself instead of any link someone sends you.
- Treat unsolicited help with suspicion, especially right after you post about a wallet issue anywhere public.

How are people feeling about this? I know there will be some who carry on as usual with the mantra that CEXs don't matter, but hypothetically if you carried a large monero balance (6 figures, etc)... you've pretty much lost your liquidity. Monero can be used P2P to a certain extent... but for big purchases like a house? I imagine it's niche.

Do you hold out and hope for DEXs like Thorchain or Serai? Do you derisk a bit before Aug 15th? Keep holding Monero without liquidity for awhile and hope for the cyberpunk P2P future? Is there a replacement that's feasible already I'm unaware of?

Overall I think it's a big negative to lose Kraken. However, I'm curious how others think about it. It is also a bummer this is happening with the "pro crypto White House" in a country where we are "free." Lastly I hope it is temporary but I doubt Kraken will roll this back...

Crypto exchange Crypto.com on Thursday announced it has secured a $400 million investment from global market maker Citadel Securities at a $20 billion valuation.

Anyone who has been paying attention to reddit/X/YouTube etc will notice the users of every platform loves to parrot "everybody says Bitcoin will bottom in October at 40k" to the point where it is now a meme.

I'd say for every time I see somebody actually claiming "40k in October" there's about 10-20 people claiming the opposite.

Bitcoin has never been kind to the consensus opinion.

Most crypto bros think that if they have not been tax compliant in their jurisdiction they are not able to cash-out. This is wrong.

Sure there is the automatic exchange of information between your tax residency and your bank account, however if you plan on becoming tax compliant through a voluntary tax disclosure while you are preparing your compliance documentation for the bank.

Amongst the crypto community it is very normal for people to have not declared their taxes, especially if they started early. As back in 2011, most people were not treating it as a serious investment most did not know where it would be today.

When you are introduced to a private bank by a trusted third party, the bank is comfortable with you getting your new tax residency documentation after your account is opened or if you are becoming tax compliant through a voluntary tax disclosure as long as you are about to or in the process of becoming tax compliant you can open and cash-out before the taxes are due.

Since the automatic exchange of information era, Swiss banks require some form of tax conformity from clients. What's poorly understood is what "conformity" can mean in practice. At certain institutions and this depends heavily on the bank, the jurisdiction, and the specific facts it does not have to mean "every past year already settled." It can mean the client is demonstrably in the process of becoming compliant: tax counsel engaged, a voluntary disclosure or regularization initiated, or a residency change properly sequenced, all with a paper trail.

I've seen onboarding with Swiss private banks happen in parallel with a disclosure or a change in tax residency. Many people choose more tax friendly jurisdictions such as Monaco or Dubai. Remember that even fully compliant holders struggle here everyone knows the frozen-funds and closed-account stories from retail off-ramps (CEX to retail bank at large volumes). That's precisely why people go to private banks, and why they don't show up empty-handed. The approach that gets through compliance committee at the bank is a professionally prepared source-of-wealth file: chronological origin-of-wealth narrative, wallet lists with proof of control, independent forensic screening, surviving records with gaps explained, where relevant, a concrete, documented process for fixing a tax situation that isn't currently in order as opposed to a vague intention to sort it out someday..

Important note: this is not "you don't need to pay tax," and it varies enormously by country and institution. None of it is tax, legal, or banking advice this situation requires actual advisers in the actual jurisdictions involved.

Katana turned 1 on July 1st. Over the last year, they've outcompeted many chains from the 2024/25 era and are still going strong.

I've made posts about Katana in the past. I work in web3 and this project is one of the most exciting I've seen because of the design of the chain and the way emissions are structed.

If you've ever farmed an incentive program, you know the arc. Emissions turn on, TVL floods in, the APY looks unreal for six weeks, emissions taper, capital walks to whoever's paying more. Most chains are renting their liquidity and calling it growth.

Katana does it differently. There where no VC-term deals to raise liquidity favorably. All revenue stayed on the chain from day 1 as Katana did a really great job of being opinated and owning the stack.

On most chains, TVL is a cost. You pay for it. On Katana, TVL is the revenue.

When you bridge an asset onto a normal chain it sits in a contract doing nothing. That's true almost everywhere. VaultBridge routes those bridged assets into yield strategies instead, so the deposits themselves earn. The chain takes revenue off that. That revenue funds chain-owned liquidity, meaning pools the chain owns outright and permanently, which cannot walk out because they were never rented. And it funds incentives, paid out of income rather than out of a printer.

So the flywheel spins the right way. More TVL means more revenue, which means more owned liquidity and a bigger incentive budget, which means more TVL. On a normal chain that same loop runs in reverse: more TVL means a bigger incentive bill, which drains the treasury faster, which shortens the clock to the announcement.

That's the difference between a chain that compounds and a chain that burns.

Year one, by Katana's own published numbers:

• Day one: $250M+ bridged, 15 apps live including Morpho, Sushi, Spectra
• Aug 2025: $488k in revenue generated and distributed
• Oct 2025: Sushi passed $1B in spot volume on the chain
• Jan 2026: in-house quests platform, 6k+ users completing 5+ quests
• Mar 2026: KAT staking live, listed on Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Kraken, Upbit, Bithumb
• Mar 2026: acquired IDEX, the team that built the #1 DEX of 2018, relaunched as Katana Perps
• Apr 2026: Binance Earn and OKX Earn integrations, $600k+ in revenue from those alone
• Jun 2026: perps volume past $400M, three trading competitions, $155K+ USDC paid straight to traders
• Year one total: $4M+ in protocol revenue, 28M+ KAT compounded since TGE

It also got stress tested twice, which is the part that gets skipped. It ran normally through 10/10 when plenty of things did not. It stayed liquid through the April crunch and serviced tens of millions in outflows without gating anybody. A chain that holds up while people are running for the door is a fundamentally different asset than one that only works when everything is green.

And you can still farm right now.

There are stablecoin vaults sitting in the 8-10% range, avKAT in the 50% range (pays to coordinate liquidity, expect to drop over time), and season quests,

The thing I'm actually watching in year two: KAT as a liquidity coordinator.

You lock KAT, you get voting power, you point emissions at whatever part of the chain you think deserves liquidity. That's a ve model and you've seen it on Curve and Aerodrome. The difference is those coordinate liquidity for one DEX. Katana's runs at the chain level.

So the question stops being "which pool gets emissions" and becomes something closer to capital allocation. Lending markets, perps, yield venues, spot pools, all competing for the same liquidity, with token holders arbitrating between them. Right now it's mostly DEX pools, which is the boring version of this. The interesting version is a chain where holders are steering liquidity across every venue on the stack based on where it earns most.

Nobody's really run that at chain scale. Watching it develop is genuinely the thing I'm most curious about this year.

My honest read is the gap between what's been built and what it's priced at is the widest of anything I hold. That either means the market is early or the market looked and disagreed. I lean early. I've been wrong before.

TL;DR: Katana recently turned 1. $4M+ protocol revenue, no VC, no presale, IDEX acquired and relaunched as perps, listed on every major CEX, survived 10/10 and the April crunch. It inverted TVL from a cost into a revenue source, which is why it has no expiry date while chains that bought their TVL are announcing pivots. Still farmable, stablecoin vaults in the 8-10% range from borrow interest plus incentives.

We've all watched chains rent TVL with emissions and die when the money ran out. Katana is the only one I can name that built the revenue engine first and never took the VC money that starts the clock.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a project I've been engineering called VAULT. The goal was to build a messaging hub that leaves absolutely zero footprint—no servers storing data, no emails, no phone numbers, and local identity generation. How the stack works: Messaging: Uses the Double Ratchet protocol for end-to-end encryption. Message routing and voice/video calls are handled entirely peer-to-peer (DTLS-SRTP) via WebRTC. Data Storage: Ephemeral by design. Messages have a 24-hour auto-decay window and live only in local storage. Integrations: I also integrated a non-custodial wallet infrastructure supporting Solana and EVM chains directly into the chat interface, using zk-SNARKs for private transaction rails and ERC-4337 for gasless payments so users don't need native tokens to transact. Because it's fully serverless, signaling is the trickiest part. I'm currently looking for feedback on handling WebRTC STUN/TURN fallbacks more efficiently when both peers are behind symmetric NATs. Someone got the private key that signs Ostium's price oracle reports. with that key they pushed fake, future dated price data through ostium's automation system (a contract called PriceUpKeep, triggered by gelato) that made their trades look profitable when they weren't.

they ran about 20 open/close trade loops in a few hours and drained somewhere between $11.86M and $18M USDC, roughly 28% of the vault's $63M TVL.

Blockaid caught it and flagged it publicly. Ostium paused trading right after, all positions and user funds are frozen as is while they investigate.

Ostium had raised $27.8M from general catalyst, Jump crypto, Coinbase ventures, Wintermute and GSR, and processed over $50B in cumulative volume. multiple audits too. none of that stopped a compromised signer key from draining the vault, because the exploit lived in oracle infra, not the contract code.

summer.fi also got hit for $6M in a similar oracle/keeper exploit last week. feels like this is becoming the go to attack vector now that contract code itself is actually well audited.

anyone else think oracle key management needs the same scrutiny as multisig treasury keys at this point?

We've been seeing a lot of questions come up regarding the email being sent out to crypto investors in Australia from the ATO. Just dropping some info below that can hopefully clear things up. If this post isn't supported feel free to remove.

The ATO is emailing Australian taxpayers it believes bought or sold crypto after 1 July 2025. What the email means, how to check it's real, and the steps to respond.

If you just opened an email from the Australian Taxation Office with a subject like "What to do if you've bought or sold crypto", take a breath. You're not in trouble. You're one of a very large group getting the same message, and it's fixable.

Here's what it means and what to do about it.

First: Is This Email Even Real?

Before you act on anything, confirm the email is legitimate. The ATO's own message warns that scammers impersonate these communications, and a crypto tax prompt is exactly the kind of email a scammer loves to fake.

A genuine ATO email will:

• Never include a link to a login page. The real ATO does not send you a link to sign in.
• Never ask for your confidential details by email, including your TFN, passwords or bank logins.
• Point you to search the ATO website yourself (using "QC" reference codes) rather than click through.

If something feels off, don't click. Forward suspicious emails to [ReportScams@ato.gov.au](mailto:ReportScams@ato.gov.au), then get to myGov independently by typing the address in yourself. When in doubt, treat the email as a nudge to check your own records, not a reason to click anything.

What The Email Actually Means

The ATO runs a crypto asset data-matching program that collects identity and transaction data from Australian exchanges (it calls them "designated service providers"). It covers the 2014-15 through 2025-26 financial years and captures data on an estimated 700,000 to 1.2 million individuals and entities every year.

So the ATO has records that suggest you bought or disposed of crypto. That doesn't mean it knows your full tax position, only that an exchange reported activity linked to you. This email is a prompt, sent because that data shows activity on or after 1 July 2025. Think of it as the polite tap on the shoulder before you lodge your FY2025-26 return.

Respond correctly now and this is a non-event. Ignore it, lodge a return that doesn't line up with their data, and you invite a review.

What You Need To Do

The email points to three situations. Work out which apply to you, because most people hit more than one.

If you held and disposed of crypto as an investment. Selling, swapping, gifting or spending crypto all count as disposals, and each one triggers capital gains tax. You report the net capital gain (or loss) in the CGT section of your return. Losses aren't just paperwork either: reporting them in the year they happen lets you offset gains now and carry the rest forward.

If you earned income from crypto. Staking rewards and airdrops are ordinary income, taxed at their AUD value on the day you received them. These go in the "Other income" section, separate from your CGT.

If you were carrying on a crypto business. Trading, mining or operating an exchange as a business gets reported as business income (gross income less deductible expenses), not CGT. It's a smaller group, and if it's you, a registered tax agent is worth the call.

Whichever applies, keep your records for at least five years from the date you lodge.

What To Do, Step By Step

1. Confirm the email is real (see above). Don't click any login links.
2. Pull your data together: every exchange account and wallet you've used, plus transaction dates, types and AUD values. This is the part people underestimate.
3. Categorise each transaction as a disposal (CGT), income (staking or airdrops), or a non-taxable event like a transfer between your own wallets.
4. Make sure your figures are complete. Capture every exchange account and wallet so nothing is missing from your return. Any prefilled crypto data in myGov is a useful cross-check, but it won't be the full picture, so don't rely on it alone. Gaps between what you lodge and what an exchange reported are what trigger reviews.
5. Lodge, or amend prior years if you're behind. Then keep your records.

Steps 2 to 4 are where a manual spreadsheet falls apart across hundreds of trades. That's the exact job crypto tax software is built for: connect your accounts and it tracks cost base and AUD values automatically.

What If I Haven't Reported Past Years?

If you've left crypto off past returns, this is the part worth getting right, because coming forward before the ATO contacts you directly changes what you'll pay.

The ATO treats taxpayers who come forward voluntarily, before being contacted about a review or audit, far more generously. Under the ATO's rules on voluntary corrections, if you disclose a shortfall before the ATO tells you it's examining your affairs, the base penalty is reduced by 80%. Where that shortfall is under $1,000, the penalty is reduced to nil, and the general interest charge on what you owe can also be remitted.

The practical path: amend the relevant prior-year returns to include the missed gains or income, gather your records, and pay any shortfall. If you're behind on several years or the numbers are large, a registered tax agent can manage the disclosure for you. This email is your window to fix it on the best possible terms.

You Might Owe Less Than You Think

The instinct after one of these emails is to assume a big bill. Often it's the reverse, because getting your reporting accurate tends to work in your favour. Depending on your circumstances:

• Losses can count. A rough few years in crypto may leave you with capital losses that can be offset against gains, but generally only if you report them.
• There's a 50% CGT discount. If you've held crypto for more than 12 months, you may be eligible for a discount that can halve the taxable gain.
• Every disposal has a cost base. You're generally taxed on the gain rather than the full sale price, so what you originally paid comes off the top. Leave it out and you could overpay.

People who report from memory tend to leave money on the table. People who reconcile properly often owe less than they expected.

A Bitcoin OG just moved 5,908 $BTC ($382.67M) to a new wallet after 8 years of dormancy.

They originally received the coins when $BTC traded at $16,865 — and never touched them since.

That position is now sitting on a $283M gain (+284%). ????

Just tried to open a bank account for our crypto company. Spent most of last week digging up the same three documents for the fourth time this year. Cert of incorporation, ownership breakdown, director IDs. Dragging files across folders, drives etc

Different bank, same stack of paperwork I've already handed to three other institutions who all verified the exact same facts.

And then it hit me that this is completely normal and nobody questions it.

Every bank, every fintech, every partner platform runs their own KYB from scratch. They all check the same government registry. They all confirm the same info, the same directors, the same UBOs. None of them trust each other's work, so the business re-proves itself from zero every single time. Weeks of back and forth, per relationship.

Question for decision makers: Is the repetition the real pain for you, or is it something else? Or maybe for most of you it's genuinely fine and I'm just at a company that onboards too often and I've lost perspective.

In a bit of a hairy situation, my father recently passed and while collecting stuff for his estate we’ve discovered that he had assets with crypto.com. Most notably, according to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, it has scaled its use of reloadable cards through HesabPay, the Algorand-powered payments platform, to support more than 625,000 refugee returnees and over 17,500 internally displaced people in Afghanistan, with more than $35 million in assistance. I know rates can change from trade to trade, but after enough swaps you start noticing certain platforms giving better results more often than others. I'm curious if anyone has found one they trust enough to use without constantly comparing alternatives.

Memecoins feel quieter this year. I remember paying close attention to DOGE, SHIB and Floki back in 2021, but their prices and attention feel nowhere near what they were then. It also feels like people are talking less about memes or maybe crypto too. I sold all my memecoins in 2023 and moved them all to BTC. I split them into a long-term position and grid bots for short term votality on bydfi. That feels like a smart decision when looking back now.

Hello everyone! I recently used Switcher.finance, as I noticed many people recommended it.

Unfortunately, after using it to swap some crypto, they received my crypto but refused to send the crypto that I am supposed to get. After contacting them, they keep saying that they sent it to me but stuck at transit, but it been days.

I also did some digging afterwards, and realised that they operate a massive bot farm, using multiple account to promote their services across social media. This is a massive fraud and scam.

Until this is resolved, please avoid it at all costs. Based on my experience, I believe this is a massive scam. To save you the loss, please do proper research next time.

So it's been almost 2 years since the hack, there was a whole Singapore court scheme, "phased withdrawals," re-KYC drives, trading resumed like it's business as usual now... and I still can't withdraw a single rupee of my lacs sitting on the platform.

Genuinely lost track of what stage we're even at. Last I checked:

• Hack happened July 2024, ~$230M gone
• INR withdrawals opened in phases, then a chunk stayed frozen "due to investigations"
• Singapore court approved some restructuring scheme in Oct 2025
• Trading resumed, some crypto withdrawals unlocked in stages
• Recovery tokens were supposed to cover 75-80% of balances

But my account just sits there. No withdrawal option that actually works, no clear status update, re-KYC done and still nothing moving.

Anyone actually gotten their money out recently? Is there a real timeline anywhere or are we all just supposed to keep waiting indefinitely? Would love to know if this is a "me" issue or if everyone's still stuck like this.

Which projects are doing it right?

After an excruciating four months where they'd frozen my funds for absolutely no reason whatsoever, I finally got ALL my money off of there, safely on a cold wallet. I will never use Binance again for any reason and honestly I feel stupid and ashamed that I ever used it to begin with. I just wanted to share with you all, because I'm happy and relieved the nightmare is over.

For 4 months I was constantly being looped around by AI "support agents". They threw many bogus allegations at me like "you have transacted with fraudulent addresses" (I didn't) and "your funds come from sources outside our terms of use" (they don't). I have literally hundreds of pages of chat & email correspondence with them. They kept trying to bait me into saying something that might be self-incriminating. I suffered psychological harm and at one point got close to harming myself in a major way. In the end I contacted basically every crypto lawyer I could find in my town and threatened Binance legally.

Even after they unfroze my account, pretty much every withdrawal I tried to make after that, even to my OWN FUCKING WALLET, some bogus alert or other came up, and I went through a number of other shorter account freezes.

I'm probably going to die a few years early because of the emotional toll.

Singularity Future Technology was accused of misleading investors about its shift from a logistics company into a crypto hardware business, including claims about mining equipment, partnerships, and business operations. After reports questioned these claims, $SGLY dropped more than 90%, and investors filed a lawsuit.

Now the company has agreed to settle $3 million with investors for their losses.

Who can claim this settlement?

If you bought $SGLY shares between 2021 and 2023, you may be eligible to participate, even if you sold your shares

How long does the payout process take?

It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.

Making successful trades on the charts is only half the battle nowadays. The real headache is the off-ramp logistics. It feels like traditional commercial banks have completely tightened their compliance algorithms lately, and trying to pull a decent chunk of money out of an exchange is a fast track to getting your account frozen or hit with endless source of funds requests.

I am honestly considering shifting away from digital wires entirely for my profit-taking strategy. I was looking into alternative cash settlement networks where you swap your assets and they just have a courier bring physical paper cash straight to your door or send it via mail.

Bypassing the banking system entirely sounds like a perfect solution for privacy, but I am super skeptical about how it plays out in real life. If a courier turns up on your porch with an envelope of paper bills, how do you even verify everything is totally legit before they walk away?

Has anyone here actually tried a physical cash delivery method to protect their trading profits from bank lockdowns, or is the physical security aspect way too risky to mess with compared to traditional methods?

Hi guys, this is my 1st post on this community. I would like to know what I heard around. I thought here I would get some expert insights and process my learning on crypto

We are now 252 days into the Bear Market. I will cut to the chase and let you guys know how this conclusion was drawn. For this, I analyzed the past 7 bear markets in the last 10 years (including this one), and studied how long it takes for the current price of BTC to exceed the 200D moving average during bear markets (this is the signal for the end of the bear market).

From each bear market’s market bottom, it historically takes 65 to 166 days for BTC to recover. Our last bottom was $58K back on June 30, 2026. Assuming BTC doesn't crash any lower than $58K in this bear cycle, at an average between 65 and 166 days, the end of the bear market would be November 5, 2026. At the longest recorded recovery time of 166 days, the end would be December 26, 2026.

While past performance is not indicative of future performance, current data also shows that this bear market is not that bad relatively speaking, as compared to previous bears such as the most recent 2022 FTX crash where BTC declined 76.7% from its highs compared to our current bear market where BTC only declined 51.2% from its highs.

Hey guys, I’m not a crypto guy. I’m all about the stock market and other forms of “investing” but I am knowledgeable enough on the subject as crypto is the reason my brother bought a house lmfao.

Here’s the thing, I know bitcoin uses hashing such as SHA-256 and it uses the signature system ECDSA (correct me if I’m wrong). Some may argue that quantum’s increasing power (through the years) is will make breaking the hash easier, but idk how long it’ll be before it’s near instant.

However, wouldn’t the private keys be the real issue? I talk to my brother about this but his cope is crypto will develop stronger hashes with time. But wouldn’t that leave existing cryptocurrencies in shambles as time passes?

I’m no expert, but wouldn’t the advancement of these technologies make Bitcoin obsolete later on?

I appreciate all opinions just insightful. I find this a bit fascinating for someone who doesn’t invest in Crypto lol.

Got into crypto recently and opened an IRA through iTrustCapital and started filling a cold wallet with XRP. I have probably 5,000 shares of XRP and $2000 split between SOL, LINK, HBAR, ETH, BTC, XLM, and flare.

The more I read this sub the more XRP sounds like a scam. My average cost is $1.62, should I hold and hope it reclaims ATH after a catalyst like the clarity act or dump it now? I'm holding for long term growth/retirement, and I don't understand this field enough to know what to invest in long term. XRP has lots of utility so I thought it'd be good, but BTC and ETH seem better despite btc having no real world use case and ETH being outdated. Any advice? Is there a real argument for btc and eth growing over the coming decades?

I’m researching a creator-led model for event markets.

Instead of creators only promoting an existing market, they would define the question through a structured template, provide the required parameters, and attach a clear resolution source. The platform would standardise the rules and settlement process.

The difficult part is trust. A creator may understand the topic and already have an audience, but they may also have incentives to frame the market unfairly.

What controls would you expect before participating in a creator-made market—creator deposits, public resolution criteria, dispute periods, reputation scores, or something else?

Here there are miners to mine the coins to perform the duty cycle as usual.But the holders just download an app that asks you a certain sum as a security deposit for the wallet size that determines the size of transaction that can be made through the wallet.This deposit serves as a contribution to the app interface for its functioning so that intermediaries dont run away with the payees money meant for the person getting paid

Now hypothetically,if 20 people download the app(which will be like u torrent or bit torrent).I want to transact currency from C to F in exchange for a service or hard cash and suppose C and F both have 100$ in their security deposit and wallet.

C will initiate a transaction to F for certain amount of SlowCoin(SC) say 20$.The 20$ from C's account will go to his security deposit(120$) . 20$ from F's security deposit moves to his main account.

Suppose lets say we have A,B,D,E in the vicinity of C.G,H in the vicinity of A,B,D and G,H in the vicinity of F.B and D will give to F a certain amount from their security deposit to F till their security deposit's proportion is equal to F's security deposit proportion,then G,H,A will give a certain proportion of security deposit to B and D till their secDep equalizes proportionally.Similarly F's security deposit equalizes proportionally with A,B,D,E like a pipeline from C to F.

To keep the system active the rules are:-

1.The participants must facilitate transactions for a certain time ,for users around you to facilitate the participants transactions for the same amt of time

2.The number of other participants the O.P facilitated the transaction for (based on the proportion of security deposit).That many devices would facilitate transactions for the OP.

3.The devices would be connected to each other via bluetooth and money will only be managed by their devices itself.

The miners can also function as a balancer between geographical areas that are excess in (SC) and shortage of (SC).

june 2026 was the worst month for us spot bitcoin etfs since launch. around $4.5b in net outflows across the group.

bit alone shed something like $3.5b this year also became the first with negative net etf flow overall.

the more interesting thing to me is that bitcoin exchange reserves are sitting near a 7 year low and the coins leaving etfs arent showing up on coinbase or binance.

they’re moving into self custody. long term holders quietly absorbing the float that etf sellers are shedding.

so theres two things happening at once. institutions and traders are selling out of the wrapper. onchain accumulators are buying the underlying. thats not necessarily a bearish signal for btc.

it looks more like a custody preference signal.
which honestly makes sense to me. the etf was always kind of a weird product for crypto.

you get price exposure but you lose everything that made the asset interesting in the first place. no self custody. no 24/7 settlement. you're back to trusting a fund admin who can gate redemptions in a crisis. its bitcoin exposure with the bitcoin part sanded off.
worth thinking about how far this preference extends. the same custody question applies once you start trading, not just holding. venues like ostium and hyperliquid let you take leveraged exposure to gold, fx, indices, whatever, but the margin sits in your wallet the whole time and the platform cant restrict your account before a big move. the olp model has real tradeoffs (you're trading against the pool, not a neutral book), so its not a free lunch. but the custody structure is fundamentally different from what you get through an etf or a brokerage.
if the june outflows are just macro rotation, this doesnt mean much. but the underlying self custody signal is consistent with something thats been slowly building across the whole year
