Hello Ethereum community,
I've been analyzing Ethereum transaction data since 2015 and noticed an interesting pattern. On 67 days, the number of daily ERC20 token transactions surpassed the total number of daily transactions. This is quite unusual and I'm trying to understand why this might be happening.
One particularly noticeable instance is on November 27, 2017. On this day, the total number of transactions was 608.7k, while the number of ERC20 token transfers was significantly higher at 1.07 million.
I'm curious if anyone has insights into what might have caused this. Were there any events or changes in the Ethereum network around this time that could explain the spike in ERC20 token transfers? Could it be related to a specific token or a group of tokens?
Any insights or resources to help understand this phenomenon would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
