Had to do it, guys. It's been 5+ years, and the price just keeps getting down near my average purchase price when I DCA'd back in the day. And I can't be left holding a loss after all these years of hodling. Sorry...had to. It may well be the future of finance, and may one day be world reserve currency....but I'm in my middle ages now, and if that day doesn't come for 30+ years...it doesn't do me much good.
This is a little scary for me, as when I start down the road of selling, I usually keep going. But...will keep an eye on it for now, my plan is each $1k price drop, I'm selling 10 million sats. And then if it gets into the $40s, I'll start buying back and just pocket the leftover $.
Edit: I sold at $59.3k, and Bitcoin is already back up above $60k, so all you naysayers may be right, that I sold the absolute bottom here. If so, then yes I feel dumb. I didn't sell my whole stack - just a good little chunk, and yes I feel dumb about it. It's hard to time the market perfectly, I've never been good at that. Thank you.
