Gold and Bitcoin

I’ve been seeing a lot of goldbugs posting on this sub lately and I feel like it’s kind of a big deal. Gold and Bitcoin share a lot of similarities and fill similar roles. I’ve even seen a couple hardware wallets along with their gold stacks on r/gold. A couple years ago I posted there wanting to get their opinion on bitcoin. 99% of the comments disregarded it as a fad and that it didn’t serve any real purpose.

My opinion is that gold is going to lose its market to Bitcoin in the coming years. Gold will always have a place but the era of everything digital (including gold) is just starting.
