I this day and age I feel many whitepapers are created for marketing purposes rather than providing valuable information. In fact, you could say that a whitepaper is considered successful if it is difficult enough to understand that most readers give up and assume the writers are knowledgeable.
You can judge how serious a project is by looking at the formatting, length, and the complicated language used in its whitepaper. If you read whitepapers from reputable and successful projects you are able to see and learn a lot about how the information is presented (but I donโt really understand it all). Through reputable crypto project whitepapers, this can actually help in exposing scams, joke projects, or even copy and paste jobs in whitepapers of new coins coming into the space.
Iโm motivated to understand them eventually. I'm not smart enough to understand the whitepaper. But I learn from those who understand it.
What key aspects within a Whitepaper do you look at?
