Is self-custody becoming harder or easier in 2025?

With all the new wallets, hardware devices, seedless backups...... you'd think self-custody would be easier than ever.

But I’ve also seen a lot of people say they feel less confident because there are too many options, too much noise, and constant fear of scams or losing access.
