Questions on seedcodes

1) are the words always only in English and 2)how often can someone/a program type-in random words to see if he finds a wallet?

I just wonder if you have a 12 word seedcode with English words and a computer randomly trying hundreds of combinations a second, wouldnt there be a chance to find something over the years? or do you only get wallet access success notification with each mined block (every ~10-15 minutes)

never tried to restore a wallet but how does it work?
