Recently started learning about crypto. What are some beginner mistakes to avoid?

I recently started spending more time learning about crypto, wallets, exchanges and how different parts of the space work. There’s a huge amount of information online, and sometimes it’s difficult to know what actually matters in the beginning.

I’m not looking for coin suggestions or quick-profit advice, mainly trying to understand good habits, security basics and things beginners usually learn too late.

For people who have been in crypto for a while, what are some common mistakes new users should avoid early on?
