Hello I have been working as a structural engineer but I've been having trouble finding happiness in my profession because of the low time preference thinking that permeates into fiat construction. I want to transistion careers and use my engineering brain to help develop something I've very passionate about(Bitcoin). In high school my secondary talent behind physics was coding so I know I have the capacity to learn and develop my skills in this arena. The only problem is that I have spent very little time in the last 7 years or so coding besides smaller projects to automate my engineering work. What resources would you recommend/ what specific skills in computer science should I become more acquainted with so that I can learn how to engineer Bitcoin?

Would anyone know if this MIT course on data structure and algorithms would be a good place to start?
