Why are people saying “I’ve been here/invested since 201x” like it’s some sort of achievement?

Huge numbers of people have been aware of bitcoins existence since 2013 and many have played around less than $10k… it really doesn’t mean anything.

fact I would even go as far to say it’s a negative thing when deciding whether to trust someone since if someone says this and isn’t a millionaire it means they clearly didn’t appreciate the value of it in the past or did something really stupid.
