How do MOONs that were purchased affect Karma Ratio?

If I was to go out and buy some moons right now (let's say 100 MOONs for the sake of simplicity) and I deposited them in my Reddit vault, meaning that they would now be linked to my reddit account, how would selling these MOONs affect my Karma ratio? Would I get a much lower ratio in the next set of distributions, or can I sell all of the moons that I bought, plus up to 25% of the ones that I earned without being hit with this penalty?

On top of this, if I was to sell all of my moons right now and then proceed to replace them before the next snapshot happened, would I still get penalised or would it be fine? Thanks in advance for any help :)
