My Bitcoin story

Hello, been lurking here for awhile, don't post often on reddit but felt compelled today. I had been introduced to Bitcoin two times before really getting into crypto, just by happenstance on my adventure across the Internet as a teenager and later in my 20s. I think I even used a Bitcoin faucet at one point and never kept up with the wallet. I loved my life got a little older, got married young and heard about Bitcoin again. Bitcoin was $500. Shit. I missed the boat, still thought about throwing some money at it but we were dead broke and figured the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. Fast forward.

I got into crypto during the last bullrun, I think BTC was around 30k or so if I recall correctly. I got $10 of BTC as a sign up bonus and sold it for doge. I obviously had really missed the BTC boat this time (lol) and got wrapped up in the hype of this dumb dog coin. I did embarrassingly little research and was gonna cash out at a dollar and make a few hundred bucks for shits and giggles(and maybe a new PlayStation).

as i started learning more I kept a little Bitcoin but didn't really know what I had. I had all the low market cap shit coins, harmony, shib, ckb, etc. I was gonna make it. I mean don't get me wrong I made some money, I ended up putting it into eth. Always stacking BTC a little at a time because everyone told me it was the safest and yada yada.

The more I learnes the less coins would turn my head until it was just eth and BTC. I recently sold my Eth and went all in on Bitcoin. It finally clicked. The rest of the market is noise. So thank you for the links, the book recommendations, the hours of videos, and various conversations I've been a fly on the wall for. I'm excited for this new phase and trying not to kick myself for going all in sooner, but some lessons can only be learned through experience.
