Return of the tacos or the start of a new trade war?

The trade war is back. Trump has sent a letter to Mexico and the European Union, announcing that starting August 1, 2025, the U.S. will impose a 30% tariff on all products imported from those regions.

It’s not a total surprise — he had already announced tariff hikes on eight other countries. But this time, the tone is more direct, more aggressive… some are even calling it a TACO comeback (Tariff And Customs Offensive).

And yet…
